自動車部品の市場規模の推移 | 1985〜2024年

市場規模がどう推移したか？

拡大期（1985〜1990年）生産額が5割伸びた。自動車部品の生産額は1985年の2.9兆円から1990年の4.3兆円へ増え、機関部品も7,090億円から1.1兆円へ伸びた。

再拡大期（1991〜2007年）1990年代は横ばいで、2000年代に大きく伸びた。生産額は1995年の4.3兆円から2000年に5.0兆円、2007年に9.4兆円の山をつけた。内訳では自動変速装置が1990年の5,050億円から2005年の1.7兆円へ増えた。

成熟期（2008年〜）生産額は8兆円台で頭打ちとなり、2020年は7.3兆円に下がった。機関部品は2020年に5,138億円と1990年の半分を下回り、燃料噴射装置も1997年の4,140億円から2022年の1,753億円へ縮んだ。一方で自動変速装置は2018年に2.5兆円の山をつけた。

上場企業はどう意思決定したか？

拡大期の前に、海外の技術を提携で取り込んだ。デンソーは1953年にボシュと提携して品質管理と製品領域を取り込み、アイシンは1969年にボルグワーナーとの折半合弁でAT量産への道をひらいた。

拡大期から再拡大期にかけて、海外に生産拠点を設けた。デンソーは1985年、豊田合成は1986年に米国へ、カヤバは1987年に米国、2002年に中国、2003年にチェコへ生産会社を設立した。デンソーは1999年に系列を越えた拡販を掲げて自立を探り、2001年にはアイシンらとアドヴィックスを共同出資で設立した。

成熟期には、事業の組み替えに経営資源を集中した。豊田合成は2014年に欧州のシーリング事業を買収し、2025年に芦森工業を買収してシートベルトを加えた。アイシンは2021年にAT事業と本体を統合して電動化への投資余力を確保し、デンソーは2025年にスパークプラグ事業を日本特殊陶業へ1,806億円で売却した。
