About the author

Yutaka Sugiura is a Tokyo-based software engineer who builds high-load payment systems — from planning and design through implementation and P&L. A native Japanese speaker with an MBA, he researches corporate history on the side and writes for Nikkei Business, and is the author of two 2020 books — Reverse Time-Machine Management and How to Survive a Crisis: An Illustrated Guide to 20 Corporate Turnarounds. He plans, builds and runs this site single-handedly — from concept and code to day-to-day operation.
