1954年に小森敏之氏が創業した丸大食品工場が起源。
1961年に畜肉ハム・ソーセージの製造販売を始め、各地に工場を新設して加工肉を全国の食卓へ届けた。ハム・ソーセージを主力に、ピザ・デザート・ヨーグルトまで手がける食品メーカーである。
