1945年に兵庫県西宮市で創業した飲料水卸売業の加藤商店が起源。
1958年にカンピー印缶詰の販売を始め、1981年に住商フーズを合併して東京本部を設置した。売上高11,788億円の食品卸売会社で、チルド食品や日配食品、菓子も扱い、ベトナムなどアジアにも拠点を展開している。
