1970年に設立された坂本産業が起源。
1978年にホームセンター1号店を開き、1998年に開店したとんかつ専門店「かつや」で外食へ事業を拡大し、2020年にLIXILビバを子会社化した。ホームセンターと外食を二本柱とする小売グループである。
