1951年に各種バルブの製造販売を目的に設立された北澤製作所が起源。
1962年に黄銅熱間鍛造プレスを国内で初めて導入し、1999年には鉛レス黄銅・青銅合金「KEEPALLOY」を発表した。国内のバルブ大手で、スペインやドイツ、インドなどのバルブメーカーを買収して海外事業を拡大する。
