1956年に栃木県高根沢町で創業した松谷製作所の縫合針製造が起源。
1961年に世界初の18-8ステンレス縫合針の製造に成功し、のち歯科用リーマ・ファイルや眼科ナイフへ品目を拡充した。
ベトナムなどに生産拠点を有する、手術用縫合針・眼科ナイフ・歯科用治療器の専門メーカーである。
