1958年に創業した大和冷機工業所が起源。
1964年に業務用冷蔵庫の規格品を売り出し、1969年にはコールドテーブルを手がけて飲食店の厨房設備を身近にした。業務用冷蔵庫・製氷機・ショーケースを主力とする厨房機器メーカーで、売上高は469億円規模。
