Background
He joined the company in April 1988. At Nisshinbo Brake he became Executive Officer and General Manager of Friction Material Manufacturing in April 2011, Director and Managing Executive Officer in June 2013 and Director and Executive Vice President in April 2015, before becoming its Representative Director and President in June 2017. At the holding company he became an Executive Officer in June 2015, Director and Executive Officer in March 2019, and Director, Managing Executive Officer and head of the Corporate Strategy Center in March 2024. He was appointed after six years as president of the brake business company.

Operating income rose for a second straight year from ¥12.5 billion in the FY ended December 2023.
