Background
He joined the company in 1980 and built his career in the power business. He became Executive Officer and head of the Power and Infrastructure Division in April 2010, Director and Managing Executive Officer in June 2013, Senior Managing Executive Officer in April 2017 and Executive Vice President in April 2018. His predecessor Fumiya Kokubu came from oil and energy, making this the second straight President from the energy side.
