Background

He joined Shinkawa Kogyo in April 1965 and became a Director of Aisin Seiki in June 1979. He rose to Managing Director in June 1983, Senior Managing Director in June 1985 and Executive Vice President in June 1988, and became President in June 1995. He took the presidency after 16 years as a director.
