Education: Institute of Vocational Training (now Polytechnic University of Japan)

Selection

In September 2022 he succeeded Jun Seki as Representative Director, President, Executive Officer and COO. He was the third President other than the founder, after Hiroyuki Yoshimoto and Jun Seki, and the first to come from inside after two recruited from outside. He took office in the company's 50th year and 38 years after joining the board. A founding member stepped in after the two outside Presidents had each left after about two years.

In the fiscal year ended March 2023, when he took office, net sales grew to ¥2,230.0 billion, while operating income nearly halved from ¥170.4 billion to ¥89.9 billion and net income fell to little more than a quarter, from ¥135.7 billion to ¥36.9 billion. In the FY ended March 2024, net sales recovered to ¥2,347.1 billion, operating income to ¥161.9 billion and net income to ¥124.4 billion.
