Background
He joined Nippon Meat Packers in April 1988. In October 2002 he was seconded to Suehiro Restaurant System, where he served as Representative Director and President. He became manager of the domestic pork department in the fresh meats division's domestic meats business in March 2010 and Executive Officer heading the domestic meats business in April 2013; after a stint heading the food and logistics business from April 2016, he served from April 2017 in the processed foods division as head of the ham and sausage business, head of the deli products business and general manager of product management.

He became Managing Executive Officer and head of the corporate planning headquarters in April 2020 and joined the board that June. He headed the processed foods division from April 2022 and the fresh meats division from April 2023, became Senior Managing Executive Officer in April 2024, and from April 2025 was Director and Executive Vice President in charge of corporate planning, accounting and finance, and the growth strategy project. In April 2026 he succeeded Nobuhisa Ikawa as Representative Director, President and President Executive Officer. In the fiscal year ended March 2026, the year before he took office, net sales were ¥1,457.4 billion and operating income ¥54.5 billion, both above the previous year.
