Background
He joined the subsidiary Toho-Towa in January 1994, becoming a Director in April 1998 and Managing Director in April 2001. He served seven years as Representative Director and President of Toho-Towa from April 2008 and became its Representative Director and Chairman in May 2015. In parallel he became a Director of Toho in May 2014, Managing Director in May 2018, and Director and Managing Executive Officer in May 2021 before becoming President. His experience running the subsidiary responsible for distributing foreign films fed into the parent company's overseas expansion.

Initiatives
In 2024 the company made animation studio Science SARU a subsidiary and acquired US distributor GKIDS through Toho International. Consolidated net sales grew from ¥228.3 billion in the FY ended February 2022, the year before he took office, to ¥313.1 billion in the FY ended February 2025, and operating income from ¥39.9 billion to ¥64.7 billion.
