Selection

He became Representative Director and President of Osaka Yusen Hosousha in July 1998. He became Representative Director and President anew in July 2010, stepped down once in 2013, and returned as Representative Director, President and CEO in December 2017. In the fiscal year ended December 2016, the year before his return, revenue was ¥45.8 billion with an operating loss of ¥0.4 billion and a net loss of ¥0.9 billion. In the FY ended December 2017, the year he returned, the figures changed to revenue of ¥114.3 billion and operating profit of ¥5.9 billion. He was the first head with no predecessor, and his return, too, was something he could decide himself as the largest shareholder.

After the fiscal year-end was changed from December to August, revenue was ¥175.8 billion and operating profit ¥8.2 billion in the FY ended August 2019, reaching ¥390.4 billion and ¥31.6 billion in the FY ended August 2025. Net income also rose from ¥6.1 billion to ¥18.4 billion.
