Background
He joined the company in April 1979, became an Executive Officer in April 2007 and a Director in June 2009. He became Representative Director and Executive Vice President in April 2013 and, two years later in April 2015, Representative Director and President, 36 years after joining and six years after becoming a Director. The post he took was the presidency of the holding company; the airline business has been run by All Nippon Airways Co., Ltd., spun off at the April 2013 transition.
