Background
Born on June 30, 1976, he joined Sony in April 2001, was seconded to Monex Securities in January 2004 and transferred there in July 2007. He became General Manager of Marketing and assistant to the COO in February 2012, and Representative Director, President and CEO of Money Forward in November that year. He had no predecessor. The company was established in May 2012 as Money Book Co. in Takadanobaba, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo. Tsuji had become General Manager of Marketing and assistant to the COO at Monex Securities in February that year, and nine months later, in November, became Representative Director, President and CEO of Money Forward. He has served as Representative Director through the filing date of the annual securities report on February 19, 2026, and has been Representative Director, President and Group CEO since December 2024.
Initiatives
In December 2012 the company changed its name to Money Forward and launched the personal finance visualization service Money Forward (now Money Forward ME). In November 2013 it released Money Forward For BUSINESS, expanding into services for businesses, and in September 2017 it listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Mothers market. The cryptocurrency exchange prepared by subsidiary Money Forward Financial was dropped before launch, after that company's board resolved on April 15, 2019 to postpone entry, booking a business restructuring loss of ¥61.39 million.
