He joined Kameda Seika in April 1990 and served as Shirone plant manager from November 2014. He became general manager of general affairs in June 2017, Executive Officer and general manager of general affairs in June 2018, Executive Officer and head of the business reform team in April 2020, and Managing Executive Officer and head of sales in July 2021. He is a career employee who passed in turn through the company's main functions of production, general affairs and sales, and it took four years from Executive Officer to President.

During his tenure the company sold all shares of its US subsidiary Mary's Gone Crackers and acquired the remaining 50% of its joint venture TH FOODS, making it a wholly owned subsidiary. Consolidated net sales grew from ¥95.0 billion in his first year, FY ended March 2023, to ¥138.0 billion in FY ended March 2026, and operating profit from ¥3.6 billion to ¥7.5 billion. Net income in FY ended March 2026 was ¥24.6 billion, exceeding ordinary profit of ¥7.5 billion.
