Background
He joined Sagawa Express in July 1988, serving as a senior manager in the CSR and Environment Promotion Department from January 2007 and in the General Affairs Section of the General Affairs Department from September 2009. He moved to the holding company SG Holdings in March 2014, becoming Executive Officer in charge of general affairs and the secretariat in September 2016, Director in charge of administration and control in June 2019, and Representative Director in charge of administration and control in June 2021. His career ran through general affairs and administration rather than delivery or sales operations.

In 2024 the company acquired C&F Logi Holdings and added it to the group. Revenue recovered to ¥1,644.8 billion in the FY ended March 2026, but operating profit of ¥90.2 billion still fell short of the ¥135.3 billion of the year before his appointment.
