Background
Hisanaga Tanimura was born in July 1959 and joined Sumisho Lease (now Sumitomo Mitsui Finance and Leasing) in April 1983. In August 1998 he became Japan representative of the Tokyo branch of ING Lease Japan N.V., spending 18 years at two leasing companies. In November 2001 he founded Financial Products Group as a limited company and became Representative Director and President. As of the fiscal year ended September 2025 he held 2,199,600 shares, and the major shareholders include Tanimura himself with 2.63% and HT Holdings, where he is Representative Director, with 29.02%.
Selection
Tanimura became Representative Director and President at the company's founding in November 2001, and remained in the post as of December 19, 2025, the filing date of the annual securities report. He also became Representative Director of HT Holdings in August 2011 and Representative Executive Officer of FPG in December 2012. He became Representative Director and Chairman of FPG Securities in March 2013 and of FPG Trust in March 2015, holding representative authority at the main subsidiaries himself.
Initiatives
In May 2015 FPG invested in Ireland's Amentum Capital, and Tanimura joined its board. From 2016 the company made fractional real estate products using trusts its mainstay in Japan. Consolidated net sales grew from ¥15.3 billion in the fiscal year ended September 2015 to ¥107.8 billion in FY ended September 2024, and reached ¥129.8 billion in FY ended September 2025. In 2025, in response to the outline of tax reform, it stopped new sales of fractional real estate products.
