Background
He joined Daifuku in April 1994. He served as General Manager of Production for the eFA Division from April 2017, and advanced to Executive Officer in April 2021, Managing Executive Officer in April 2024 and Director and Managing Executive Officer that June. In January 2025 he became Representative Director, Executive Vice President and Executive Vice President Executive Officer. It took 27 years from joining to become an executive officer, but only five more to become president.
Selection
In January 2026 he succeeded Hiroshi Shimodai as Representative Director, President and President Executive Officer. In the fiscal year ended December 2025, just before he took office, consolidated net sales were ¥660.7 billion and operating income ¥100.8 billion, the year operating income crossed ¥100 billion. He was promoted one year after becoming Representative Director and Executive Vice President in January 2025, and just one year and seven months after joining the board.
