Selection

In the annual securities report for the fiscal year ended September 2005, filed in December 2005, Takafumi Horie was Representative Director and CEO, and the directors were insiders such as Ryoji Miyauchi and Noriyuki Yamazaki. In the report for FY ended September 2006, filed in December 2006, Hiramatsu was Representative Director and President, and that December the lawyer Hiroyuki Kamano and Nicholas E. Benes became outside directors. Within a year, a board made up of insiders was replaced by one including the head of an acquired subsidiary and outside directors.

Initiatives

In April 2006 the company was delisted from the TSE Mothers market, and that same month it made Cecile Co., Ltd. a subsidiary through a share acquisition. Between May and September that year it sold off, one after another, its shares in Broadband Pictures, livedoor Fudosan, livedoor Servicer, livedoor Real Estate, Myrice Limited and others. Consolidated revenue in the fiscal year ended September 2006 was ¥137.9 billion, up from ¥78.4 billion the year before, but the company posted an ordinary loss of ¥2.1 billion and a net loss of ¥40.8 billion.
