Background
He joined Pasona in April 1998, and in August 2013, as Director and Executive Officer, was in charge of solutions in the sales headquarters and head of the Do Tank division. He became Director and Managing Executive Officer in August 2015 and Representative Director and President of the operating company Pasona in August 2018. Since August 2020 he has also been a Director of Circlace.

In the fiscal year ended May 2025, just before, consolidated net sales were ¥309.2 billion, with an operating loss of ¥1.2 billion and a net loss of ¥8.7 billion, a swing into the red from operating profit of ¥6.8 billion the previous year. The appointment appears to have placed a hands-on executive who had been President of the operating company for seven years in charge of execution at the holding company.

In his first full year, the fiscal year ended May 2026, consolidated net sales were ¥308.5 billion, with an operating loss of ¥1.1 billion and a net loss of ¥3.4 billion. The operating loss was roughly flat from ¥1.2 billion, and the net loss narrowed from ¥8.7 billion. The consolidated workforce grew from 8,894 to 9,028. Specific measures he announced as President have not been confirmed in the annual securities reports at hand.
