Background
He joined Nomura Real Estate in April 2006 and moved to Yumeshin Holdings in April 2010. Eight months later, in December 2010, he became a Director, and in December 2015 Representative Director, running a company that had grown through dispatching construction management engineers. He had no officer experience on the OPEN UP GROUP side, and came in from outside as President in April 2021 in conjunction with the merger.
Selection
In April 2021 he succeeded Minoru Nishida as Representative Director and President. That same year the company absorbed Yumeshin Holdings in a merger, so the Representative Director of the disappearing company took the top post at the surviving one. In the fiscal year ended June 2020, the year before he took office, consolidated net sales were ¥81.8 billion and operating profit ¥4.7 billion. The appointment appears to have placed someone able to run the engineer staffing business added through the merger.
Initiatives
In his first year, the fiscal year ended June 2021, the company posted an operating loss of ¥25.2 billion on consolidated net sales of ¥95.1 billion. In FY ended June 2022 results turned to net sales of ¥156.6 billion and operating profit of ¥10.1 billion, and in his final year, FY ended June 2025, grew to net sales of ¥188.0 billion and operating profit of ¥16.2 billion. In 2023 the names of both companies were dropped and the company was renamed OPEN UP GROUP.
