Selection

A founder with no predecessor, he became Representative Director and President when the company was established in May 1991. In the 35 years since, through 2026, he has never left the presidency, adding the roles of Chairman, Group Representative and CEO along the way. The shareholders who elect him are also himself and his asset management company, which held 44.64% of shares outstanding in the fiscal year ended December 2025. His position rests not on board appointments but on share ownership.

Initiatives

The company registered its shares for over-the-counter trading in August 1999, then listed on the Second Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange in 2004 and the First Section in 2005. From 2000 onward it repeatedly followed a model of taking consolidated subsidiaries public individually. In 2005 it entered three financial businesses at once, but withdrew from the loan and credit business after two years. In its crypto asset mining business it posted a net loss of ¥20.7 billion in the fiscal year ended December 2018. Consolidated revenue for the FY ended December 2025 was ¥285.6 billion, with operating profit of ¥59.1 billion.
