Background
He joined the construction company Item in December 1999 and became its Representative Director in March 2002. In September 2006 he founded the company that preceded Sunwels and became its Representative Director. He became Representative Director and President in April 2011 and served as sole top executive for the next 15 years. He was not brought in from another company but founded the business himself.
Selection
He was the first President, with no predecessor. In April 2011 he absorbed the two nursing care subsidiaries of the construction company Item, changed the company name to Sunwels and became Representative Director and President, four years and seven months after its founding in September 2006.
Initiatives
To roll out PD House, housing for people with Parkinson's disease, nationwide, he listed the company on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Growth Market in 2022. Revenue grew eightfold in six years, from ¥2.5 billion in the fiscal year ended March 2018 to ¥20.1 billion in the FY ended March 2024. In 2025, following a problem of improper billing for home-visit nursing, the company withdrew its mid-term management plan and completely overhauled its home-visit nursing operations. In the FY ended March 2026, his final year, it posted an operating loss of ¥1.2 billion and an ordinary loss of ¥2.2 billion on revenue of ¥28.1 billion.
