Background
He joined Dai-Ichi Kangyo Bank in April 1985, became General Manager of the Shinjuku Corporate Banking Department at Mizuho Corporate Bank in April 2010 and Taipei branch manager in April 2012. He became an Executive Officer of Mizuho Bank in April 2014 and moved to Tokyo Century in June that year as Executive Officer and General Manager of Corporate Planning. He became head of the Systems Division in April 2015, Managing Executive Officer heading Corporate Planning and Accounting in April 2016, and Director and Senior Managing Executive Officer in June 2018, handling corporate planning and accounting until he became President.

In April 2022 he succeeded Makoto Nogami as Representative Director and President. In the fiscal year ended March 2022, the year before he took office, consolidated sales were ¥1,278.0 billion, operating profit ¥82.7 billion and net income ¥50.3 billion, with net income still short of the ¥56.3 billion of the FY ended March 2020.
