He joined Yokohama Rubber in April 1986 and became an Executive Officer 28 years later, in March 2014. He became a Director in March 2015 and Managing Executive Officer in July 2016, and Representative Director and President in March 2017. In FY ended December 2020 revenue fell to ¥551.0 billion and operating income to ¥36.0 billion, but recovered the next year to ¥670.8 billion and ¥83.6 billion. In March 2024 he stepped down as President and became Representative Director, Chairman and CEO.
