Selection

He was the fourth President since the company was spun off.

Initiatives

The company expanded its range of materials, beginning production of modified silicone polymer in February 1979, PVC window frames in February 1982 and super heat-resistant polyimide film in October 1984. In May 1982 it established Kaneka Texas Corp. in the US. Non-consolidated net sales grew from ¥128.9 billion in the fiscal year ended March 1979, his first year, to ¥184.2 billion in FY ended March 1984, the year he stepped down, and ordinary income from ¥5.5 billion to ¥8.7 billion.
