Background

He joined Nippon Telegraph and Telephone in April 1996 and, while still employed there, established the limited partnership Digital Network Service in September 1997. In January 2000 he established Infocast Co. and became a Director, and in November that year founded Rakus and became its Representative Director and President. As of the FY ended March 2026 he is the largest shareholder with 34.15% of issued shares, retaining his capital backing as founder.

Selection

He had no predecessor; in November 2000 he established the company as IT Boost Co. in Miyakojima-ku, Osaka, and has served as Representative Director and President for the 26 years since. In April 2001 he started the cloud business by selling Mail Dealer, a system for sharing and centrally managing inquiry emails, launching an IT engineer school business the same month and an IT staffing business in May 2002. In January 2010 the company changed its name to Rakus.

Initiatives

In January 2015 the company sold all shares of its consolidated subsidiary Rignite Inc., withdrawing from the US business, and in December that year listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Mothers market. In March 2018 it established Rakus Partners, which took over the IT staffing business in July that year. From 2021 it switched to investment-first management, and operating income in the FY ended March 2022 fell from ¥3.9 billion the year before to ¥1.6 billion. Consolidated net sales grew from ¥3.4 billion in the FY ended March 2015 to ¥48.9 billion in the FY ended March 2025.
