Background

A career employee, he joined Ajinomoto in April 1992. He became Executive Officer and president of Ajinomoto Fine-Techno in June 2019, Corporate Vice President and general manager of the chemicals department in the AminoScience division in June 2021, and Executive Officer & Vice President and president of Ajinomoto do Brasil in April 2022. His career ran through the AminoScience field, covering chemicals and electronic materials, and the management of an overseas subsidiary. Major shareholders in the FY ended March 2026 were trust banks and a life insurer: The Master Trust Bank of Japan at 16.92%, Custody Bank of Japan at 6.57% and Nippon Life Insurance at 5.36%.
