Background

He joined Electric Power Development (J-POWER) in April 1989. He became Executive Officer in April 2021, Managing Executive Officer in April 2022, and Director and Managing Executive Officer in June 2024. He was a career employee who spent all 37 years from joining to becoming president at J-POWER. He became an Executive Officer 32 years after joining, and only one year and ten months passed between his joining the board and becoming president.

In April 2026 he succeeded Hitoshi Kanno as Representative Director, President and Executive Officer. He had joined the board in June 2024, one year and ten months before becoming president.
