Background

He joined Hankyu Corporation in April 1982, became a Director in June 2005 and Managing Director in April 2007. He became Representative Director and Executive Vice President of Hankyu Hanshin Holdings in June 2016 and Representative Director and President of Hankyu Corporation in April 2017, and also became President of the holding company that June. He is a career employee who took 35 years from joining to become President.

In June 2017 he became Representative Director and President of Hankyu Hanshin Holdings, succeeding Kazuo Sumi, one year after becoming Executive Vice President.
