When the April 2021 merger changed the company's name to Mitsubishi HC Capital, Yanai became Representative Director, President and Executive Officer. At the same time, Seiji Kawabe, who joined Hitachi Leasing in April 1980 and had been Representative Executive Officer and President of Hitachi Capital, became Representative Director and Chairman, and Kanji Nishiura, who joined Mitsubishi Corporation in April 1980, became Representative Director and Executive Vice President, so the three representative directors came one each from the two former companies and the trading company.
