Background
He joined Fuji Bank in April 1986, became General Manager of Corporate Banking Department No. 11 at Mizuho Corporate Bank in April 2013 and an Executive Officer of Mizuho Bank in April 2014. He moved to Fuyo General Lease as Managing Executive Officer in May 2016, becoming Executive Vice President in April 2021 and Representative Director and Executive Vice President in June that year. He became President six years after moving from the bank. In the fiscal year ended March 2026 the major shareholders included Hulic with 13.94% and Mizuho Bank with 3.00%.

In April 2022 he succeeded Yasunori Tsujita as President, ten months after becoming Representative Director and Executive Vice President. His predecessor also came from Fuji Bank, making him the second consecutive President brought in from the bank. In the fiscal year ended March 2022, the year before he took office, consolidated net sales were ¥657.8 billion, ordinary profit ¥52.7 billion and net income ¥33.9 billion, after six straight years of rising net income.
Initiatives
In his first three years, consolidated net sales went from ¥688.7 billion (fiscal year ended March 2023) to ¥708.5 billion and ¥678.4 billion, while ordinary profit rose steadily from ¥59.7 billion to ¥68.4 billion and ¥69.0 billion. In the FY ended March 2026 sales grew to ¥788.7 billion, but ordinary profit fell to ¥38.2 billion and net income to ¥21.6 billion. Compared with the FY ended March 2022, the year before he took office, sales were up ¥130.9 billion and net income down ¥12.3 billion.
