Background
He joined NEC Engineering in April 1983 and moved to NEC in April 2002. He joined Seven Bank in April 2003, becoming an Executive Officer in June 2011, Managing Executive Officer in July 2015 and Senior Managing Executive Officer in June 2018. He spent 19 years as an executive without joining the board, becoming Representative Director at the same time he became President.

In June 2022 he succeeded Yasuaki Funatake as President. Funatake had taken office in June 2018 and served four years. In the fiscal year ended March 2022, the year before he took office, ordinary income was ¥136.7 billion, ordinary profit ¥28.3 billion and net income ¥20.8 billion; ordinary income had fallen for two straight years from ¥148.6 billion in the FY ended March 2020, and ordinary profit had shrunk by ¥11.5 billion from ¥39.8 billion.
Initiatives
In 2023 the bank made Seven Card Service a subsidiary, consolidating the group's financial businesses. Ordinary income rose by ¥83.3 billion, from ¥136.7 billion the year before he took office to ¥220.0 billion in the fiscal year ended March 2026. Ordinary profit, however, barely changed, from ¥28.3 billion to ¥30.2 billion, and net income fell for two straight years after peaking at ¥32.0 billion in the FY ended March 2024, to ¥13.5 billion.
