He joined Seiko Epson in April 1988 and was posted to the US and Singapore for a total of 12 years. He became Executive Officer in June 2020, head of the Printing Solutions Operations Division in April 2021 and Director and Executive Officer in June 2024, rising to President ten months after joining the board. A career employee, he had no ownership stake behind him.
