Background
Born in November 1957, he joined Trio in April 1981. He became chief engineer of Kenwood's Communications Division in October 2006 and, in June 2009, joined the board while also heading the Radio Systems Division. He became Managing Executive Officer of JVC Kenwood in June 2013, head of the Public Service sector in April 2018 and Senior Managing Executive Officer in June 2020, and from April 2023 headed the Safety & Security sector and SCM reform. His career ran through technology and business in professional radio and public-sector systems.
Selection
In April 2026 he rose from Senior Managing Executive Officer to Representative Director, President, Executive Officer and COO. His predecessor Shoichiro Eguchi had been President, Executive Officer and CEO since April 2019. In the fiscal year ended March 2026, just before he took office, consolidated net sales were ¥356.9 billion, operating income ¥20.5 billion and net income ¥16.8 billion, down from ¥370.3 billion, ¥21.8 billion and ¥20.3 billion the previous year. The change appears to have handed the presidency to a career employee who joined Trio.
Initiatives
With less than half a year in office, no decisions as President can be confirmed from the annual securities report (as of October 2026). The mid-term management plan VISION2025 was drawn up in April 2023, and at its start Suzuki headed the Safety & Security sector and SCM reform. His initiatives as President will be written once the contents of the next mid-term plan are known.
