Background
After working at IBM Japan, he joined BayCurrent Consulting as a mid-career hire in April 2009. He became Executive Officer in April 2015, Managing Executive Officer in April 2021 and, in September 2024, Executive Vice President and head of the Account Management Headquarters, overseeing client coverage across the firm. He was promoted after 16 years inside the company, and his name is absent from the top ten shareholders for the fiscal year ended February 2026.

In May 2025 he succeeded Yoshiyuki Abe as Representative Director and President. In the fiscal year ended February 2025, the year before he took office, net sales were ¥116.1 billion and operating income ¥42.6 billion, with sales up ¥22.2 billion from the previous year. The change came shortly after his predecessor moved to a holding company structure in September 2024, and Abe became Chairman. Promoted 16 years after joining mid-career in 2009, he was, unlike the externally recruited Kazumi Hagihira and like Abe, a President who rose internally after joining mid-career.

His tenure lasted only about six months, from May to November 2025. In the fiscal year ended February 2026, which spanned his tenure, net sales were ¥148.3 billion and operating income ¥50.9 billion, up ¥32.2 billion and ¥8.3 billion from the previous year. He stepped down as Representative Director and President in November 2025, and the company returned to a setup in which Yoshiyuki Abe serves as both Representative Director, Chairman and President. In six months he appears not to have made decisions changing the course of the holding company structure and expanded hiring.
