Background
He founded RORZE in March 1985 and became Representative Director and President. He served as president for the next 30 years, becoming Representative Director and Chairman in May 2015. As founder he had capital behind him: in the fiscal year ended February 2010 he personally held 47.32% of issued shares as the largest shareholder. He still held 43.5% in FY ended February 2015, more than 40 points ahead of the second-largest, The Chugoku Bank, at 1.81%.

Initiatives
In 1996 he opened a mass-production base in Haiphong, Vietnam, beginning an international division of labor separating development from mass production. Consolidated net sales grew from ¥6.6 billion in the fiscal year ended February 2002 to ¥13.6 billion in FY ended February 2008, but fell to ¥3.6 billion in FY ended February 2010 after the Lehman shock, with an operating loss of ¥1.1 billion. Sales recovered to ¥11.0 billion with operating income of ¥1.2 billion in FY ended February 2011, and in FY ended February 2015, the year before he stepped down, they were ¥12.8 billion with operating income of ¥0.8 billion.
