Background
He joined RORZE in September 2006. He became head of the Software Solutions Department in November 2009 and Senior Managing Director in May 2013, becoming president nine years after joining, a short span for an internal promotion. From April 2017 he also served as Representative Director and Chairman of RORZE ROBOTECH, the production subsidiary in Vietnam, becoming a director of that company in August 2024.

In May 2015 he succeeded founder Fumio Sakitani as president. Sakitani had served as president for 30 years from the founding and, even after stepping down, remained the largest shareholder with 43.5% of issued shares as of the fiscal year ended February 2015. In that year, the year before he took office, consolidated net sales were ¥12.8 billion and operating income ¥0.8 billion, down from ¥14.2 billion and ¥1.2 billion the year before. The change came two years after he became Senior Managing Director.
Initiatives
Consolidated net sales, ¥12.8 billion in the year before he took office, grew to ¥37.1 billion in the fiscal year ended February 2020 and ¥94.5 billion in FY ended February 2023, reaching ¥124.4 billion with operating income of ¥32.0 billion in FY ended February 2025. In FY ended February 2026 they held at ¥128.8 billion and ¥31.2 billion. During this time, a series of acquisitions, including making IAS a subsidiary, diversified the business into semiconductor peripheral equipment and life sciences. Compared with when he took office, sales have grown tenfold and operating income 39-fold.
