Background
He joined Nippon Electric Glass in April 1982. He became an Executive Officer in April 2007, Director and Managing Executive Officer in June 2011 and Senior Managing Executive Officer in April 2013, becoming President 33 years after joining. NEC was the largest shareholder with 13.03% in FY ended March 2009, but by FY ended March 2011 Nipro had taken the top spot with 11.45%, and NEC had dropped out of the top ranks.

In FY ended December 2019 the company posted a net loss of ¥33.6 billion. In his final year, FY ended December 2022, net sales were ¥324.6 billion and net income ¥28.1 billion, the highest sales of his tenure.
