Background
He joined Idemitsu Kosan in April 1985. He became head of Accounting in June 2017, Executive Officer and head of Accounting in July 2018, and Senior Executive Officer and CFO in July 2020. He became Director and Managing Executive Officer in June 2021 and Director and Executive Vice President in June 2022, rising to President from the post overseeing finance. He was a career employee who spent 40 years at the company alone.
