Background
She joined Trend Micro's officers as a Corporate Auditor in December 1995, and in August 1997 became a Director overseeing technology development. In March 2002 she moved to Group CTO, reaching the presidency through a technical career. The top major shareholders in the fiscal year ended December 2010 were two companies, True Way Company with 14.38% and Gainway Enterprise with 7.2%, and an individual, Chang Ming-Jang, with 3.84%; she herself was not among the top ten.

In January 2005 she moved up from Director and Group CTO to Representative Director, President and Group CEO. The promotion came nine years after she joined the officers as a Corporate Auditor, following her oversight of the technology division. In the fiscal year before she took office, ended December 2004, consolidated revenue was ¥62.0 billion and net income ¥15.8 billion, up from ¥48.0 billion and ¥9.2 billion the year before.

Consolidated revenue, ¥73.0 billion in the fiscal year ended December 2005 when she took office, expanded to ¥275.9 billion in FY ended December 2025. Operating income also rose from ¥27.1 billion in FY ended December 2006 to ¥57.8 billion. In 2016 the company acquired the TippingPoint business from U.S.-based Hewlett Packard, broadening its products into network security.
