Background
He joined Open House in April 2002 and moved to Soken Build (now Open House Development) in December that year. He became its Representative Director and President in December 2006, and from April 2016 also served as President of OH Real Estate Management (now Open House Real Estate). In January 2018 he became Director and General Manager of Open House Architect, running three companies in housing sales, brokerage and construction at once. At the parent, he became a Director in December 2010, Managing Executive Officer in April 2018 and Senior Managing Executive Officer in December 2021.
Selection
He took over the presidency from founder Masaaki Arai in October 2025. Arai remained as Director and Founder after stepping down and was also the largest shareholder with 33.97% at the end of September 2025. Fukuoka had become Representative Director and Senior Managing Executive Officer in April 2025, so he became President six months after gaining representative authority. In the FY ended September 2025, the year before he took office, consolidated net sales were ¥1,336.5 billion and operating income ¥145.9 billion.
