He is a career employee who joined Shikoku Electric Power in April 1981. He built his career in planning, becoming Managing Executive Officer and general manager of the Corporate Planning Department in the General Planning Office in June 2013 and Managing Director and head of the General Planning Office in June 2015. He rose to Executive Vice President in June 2017 and, while remaining head of the General Planning Office, took charge of the Information and Communications Department. From April 2018 he was also in charge of the Renewable Energy, Supply and Demand Operations and Information Systems departments.
