Background
He joined Mitsui Fudosan in April 1978 and became Managing Executive Officer 30 years later, in April 2008. He became Managing Director in June 2009 and Senior Managing Director in July 2010, and was appointed President the following June, in 2011. He reached the presidency 11 months after becoming Senior Managing Director, close to the one year his predecessor Hiromichi Iwasa spent as Representative Director and Senior Managing Director.

After operating income of ¥280.6 billion in the fiscal year ended March 2020, it fell to ¥203.8 billion the following year, then recovered to ¥245.0 billion in the fiscal year ended March 2022 and ¥305.4 billion in the fiscal year ended March 2023.
