Background
In August 2010 she worked as a project coordinator at the Center for Japanese Studies of the Institute of East Asian Studies at the University of California, Berkeley, and in January 2014 joined XYZ.COM LLC, pursuing a career in marketing. She joined not Yonex itself but its U.S. sales company YONEX CORPORATION in March 2016, becoming Senior Marketing Manager in January 2018. She moved to Yonex in Japan as an Executive Officer in June 2019, serving as deputy head of the Marketing Division. She became a Director in June 2021, also heading the Marketing Division and the Global Strategy Office.

In April 2022 she succeeded Soju Hayashida as Representative Director and President. Born in June 1987, she was 34 when she took office. Her predecessor Hayashida became Managing Director in June 2007, 27 years after joining in March 1980, whereas Arisa became President six years after joining the U.S. subsidiary in March 2016. In the fiscal year ended March 2022, just before she took office, net sales were ¥74.5 billion and operating income ¥6.7 billion, a recovery from ¥51.6 billion in the FY ended March 2021. Tsutomu Yoneyama remained as Representative Director and Chairman.
Initiatives
In April 2022, the month she took office, the domestic sales division was reorganized into an in-house company, Yonex Japan, and the company moved from the Second Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange to the Standard Market. In January 2023 a second factory opened at the Indian subsidiary. In July 2024 the company opened the research and development facility Yonex Performance Innovation Center on the grounds of the Niigata Nagaoka plant, and in June 2025 built a new tennis factory on the same site. In the fiscal year ended March 2026, net sales were ¥163.6 billion and operating income ¥16.5 billion.
