Background
Born in September 1961, he joined Kuraya Yakuhin in April 1984, and served at Mediceo Holdings' Sales Strategy Department as a senior manager from October 2004 and as General Manager from October 2005. In October 2009 he became Executive Officer and General Manager of the Solutions Department at subsidiary Mediceo, and after heading sales strategy and the strategy division became a Director of that company in June 2012. His path ran through sales strategy at a pharmaceutical wholesaler and the front lines of the Tokyo branch; he became head of the Tokyo branch in April 2019 and Representative Director and President of Mediceo in April 2022. As of the filing date he holds 10,000 shares.

A change of representative directors was approved at the board meeting of September 8, 2026, and effective October 1, Managing Director Kuniaki Imagawa, in charge of the pharmaceutical business, becomes Representative Director and President. His predecessor is Shuichi Watanabe, in office since April 2012. Imagawa became a Director in June 2022, deputy head of the pharmaceutical business in June 2024 and head of it in April 2026, and rose to Managing Director in June that year.
