Background
He joined Toyota Motor Co. in April 1980 and spent 34 years at Toyota itself. He became a Managing Officer in June 2008 and a Senior Managing Officer in April 2013. In April 2014 he moved to Toyoda Gosei as an advisor and became Executive Vice President in June that year. Born in May 1957, he became President of Toyoda Gosei at 58.

He became President in June 2015, a year after becoming Executive Vice President in June 2014. In the officer list for the fiscal year ended March 2019, Executive Vice President Toru Koyama had joined in April 1982 and reached the board in June 2016, and Director Tomonobu Yamada had joined in April 1981 and reached the board in June 2010, so internal promotions took 29 to 34 years. Toyota Motor was the largest shareholder with 42.66% of the outstanding shares in the FY ended March 2015, and Miyazaki arrived as Executive Vice President from the post of Senior Managing Officer at the parent.
Initiatives
In August 2015 the company took a stake in Brazil's Pecval Industria. In November 2018 it established Toyoda Gosei Kyushu in Miyawaka, Fukuoka Prefecture, and in April 2019 transferred the operation of its three plants in Fukuoka, Saga and Kitakyushu to that company. In December 2019 it sold all shares of the German entity of the Meteor group, whose assets it had acquired in April 2014. Consolidated net sales grew from ¥727.8 billion in the fiscal year ended March 2015 to ¥812.9 billion in the FY ended March 2020, while operating income fell from ¥41.6 billion to ¥17.9 billion.
